La Chapelle Mission Haut Brion : A Jewel with Sacred Charm
La Chapelle Mission Haut Brion : A Jewel with Sacred Charm

The Clarity of Haut-Brion 2017 and La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion 2010 served at the Oscars®.

Château La Mission Haut-Brion and the family group Domaine Clarence Dillon are honored to celebrate the 96th Academy Awards® and its nominees. Domaine Clarence Dillon is proud to be the Official Wine Partner of the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in 2024

This year, the wines of Château La Mission Haut-Brion will be particularly honored by presenting the very rare 2017 Clarté de Haut-Brion and one of the best second wines ever produced on this estate – La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion 2010 – at the nominees’ dinners in the days leading up to the ceremony, as well as to the talented winners in the Winners Lobby. La Chapelle de La Mission Haut-Brion 2010 will also be honored at the grandiose Governors Ball. “The best La Chapelle de la Mission ever.” Robert Parker, 93 points.

The Chapel of the Haut-Brion Mission

Produced in small quantities, this second wine is a gateway to the world of Château La Mission Haut-Brion. Its name is a nod to the chapel of the Mission Haut-Brion, erected by the Lazarist priests in 1698.

2018 La Chapelle de la Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac-Léognan

" 94 | Jeb Dunnuck "
I loved the 2018 La Chapelle De La Mission Haut-Brion, which ranks with some of the finest second wines out there. Showing the classic elegance that is the hallmark of this terroir, its ruby/purple color is followed by beautiful notes of black raspberries, mulberries, damp earth, graphite, truffle, and espresso roast. Rich, medium to full-bodied, nicely concentrated, and light on its feet, it still brings plenty of concentration, ripe, seamless tannins, and serious length.

" 94 | James Suckling "
Purity of blueberry, blackcurrant and chocolate character here. Shell and iodine. It’s full-bodied, chewy and structured with lots of cool tannins that lead long through the center of the wine. Second wine of La Mission.

Winemaker Notes
The color is beautiful and deep. The nose presents a fresh fruitiness, finely wooded. The entry in the mouth is soft and fleshy, at the same time. The wine is tender and tasty in the evolution. It presents a moderately intense structure but a beautiful fruity and spicy length.
